The Houthis in Yemen are feeling the heat, courtesy of relentless U.S. airstrikes. Millions in ammo have been spent as the skies light up with explosions, and yet these rebels keep coming back for more. Since 2023 they’ve been targeting ships in the Red Sea under the guise of supposedly supporting Palestine and now they’re threatening drones toward Israel. The U.S. has responded with a barrage of strikes, including one Trump couldn’t resist boasting about online, leaving dozens dead.
Curiously though, why aren’t we hearing more about this in the media? You’d think a showdown this explosive would dominate headlines, yet it’s barely a news line. Is it too messy for the nightly news to untangle, or are we all just distracted by the next shiny scandal? Are we teetering on the edge of war? Could China, our economic rival due to the tariff situation, decide to join the party? Imagine Beijing quietly slipping the Houthis some funds or weapons just to poke the U.S. in the eye amid this global power play.
It is plausible. China is never shy about stirring the pot. For now, it’s just my observation, but this escalating chaos feels like a history lesson many don't want to live through. What do you all think?
Stay safe out there folks!
Much Love,
Lynn
