Moon Men Go Wild in '69

Recent unearthed lunar archives show that astronauts on the Apollo 11 mission were living on the edge.  They were taking selfies without helmets because apparently, "helmets weren’t mandatory yet"! Buzz Aldrin, Neil Armstrong, and Michael Collins can be seen posing with the Lunar Rover, basking in the moon’s glow as safety protocols requiring a helmet wouldn’t be written for another decade. Rumor has it they even tried to moonwalk before Michael Jackson made it cool.

Enjoy the laugh and Happy Friday folks!

  1. I am planning on growing some vegetables this season. Can you tip me about some interesting varieties, Lynn?

    1. It started small with a spontaneous, non-planned purchase of some tomato and cabbage seeds. Then, the more I thought about it, the more I liked the idea of growing more kinds of veggies, and my plans developed far beyond the initial small scale. As I surveyed the garden, I realized there were plenty of unused patches of land that could be utilized for farming.

  3. Here's a video of a guy confronting Buzz Aldrin about his fake moon landing and Buzz Aldrin punched him: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OROlF8zB9z0

    1. Wow! I hadn't seen this, but I guess if you knew you lied and also had a healthy fear of the bible, it might make a man go a little crazy.

  4. I've also gained an awareness of the vast range of different varieties available to grow. Most varieties of veggies in grocery shops are bred for high yield and durability at the expense of flavor and nutritional value. So I'm intending to grow mostly older "heirloom" varieties from the 19th century that were bred for flavor and versatility. Some older varieties are less picky about soil type and are more versatile, e.g. more parts of the plant can be harvested and eaten, which means less waste.

  5. I would like to know the context of this photo. This could have been a promo photo shot in a studio before or after the moon mission for a magazine, book, calendar etc. Also people that believe the moon landing was a hoax harassing any Nasa astronauts should stop. Yes if it was a hoax they were in on it but if what Steven Greer is saying is true many of the astronauts have had their lives and their families lives threated if they ever talk about anything other then the Nasa agenda. So in a way they are victims too.

    1. I'm not sure the context, but it was meant to be light hearted. I agree that what the govt did to those men and swearing them to secrecy was evil. They are not to blame, it is those in power that are forcing the lie. I cannot even imagine what threats were given if these astronauts told the truth about the nasa hoax. Horrible!
