Pharmakeia and Processed Foods: The Health Crisis Since 1990

The past 30 years have painted a grim picture of our health landscape with chronic illnesses skyrocketing at alarming rates. ADHD surging by 819%, Autism Spectrum Disorders increased 2,094%, and Bipolar Disorder in youth is an unbelievable 10,833% higher. Even conditions like Celiac Disease and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome have ballooned by over 1,111% and 11,027%, respectively since 1990. These aren’t just numbers; they’re a wake-up call. What’s fueling this epidemic? Look no further than than our food, medicine, and the industries that profit from both.

Just look at the "immunization schedules" that sound more like an experiment than healthcare. It pumps more "pharmakia" (which is Greek for poison) into our bodies than ever before. We’re jabbing kids with a cocktail of vaccines at an alarming pace while pretending it’s for the greater good. Meanwhile, our food supply is a chemical cesspool, loaded with preservatives, artificial sweeteners, and high fructose corn syrup. Portion sizes have doubled since the ‘90s because supersizing the food translates into supersize medical bills. The big gulp soda, sugary snacks and sweets are driving insulin spikes that are the root of soaring diabetes rates which is up 305% since 1990.

The irony? We’re told to trust the “experts” while our bodies are screaming otherwise. Autoimmune disorders have spiked 1,600%, food allergies in children are up 377%, and we’re still guzzling sugary drinks. Maybe it’s time we stop treating our bodies like a landfill for Big Pharma and Big Food to dump their profits into. Let’s demand real food, real transparency, and a healthcare system that doesn’t treat us like guinea pigs in a grand experiment gone wrong. The numbers don’t lie and our health is on the line.

Much Love,
Lynn

Learning lesson of the day: "Pharmakeia" originates from the Greek word "pharmakon", which means a drug, remedy, or poison, depending on the context. In ancient Greek, "pharmakeia" referred to the use of drugs or potions, which could be for healing (medicine), poisoning, or even magical purposes (often translated as "sorcery" or "witchcraft" in biblical texts like Galatians 5:20 and Revelation 18:23). The dual nature of "pharmakon" can be both healing and harmful reflects the ancient understanding that substances could be beneficial or deadly based on their use.
