The Cholesterol Lie: Big Pharma’s Cash Cow

They’ve been peddling the cholesterol scare for decades, convincing us that this essential ingredient in the body is the enemy. The truth? Cholesterol is vital.  Your brain needs it to function, your hormones depend on it, and your body uses it to repair itself. But still the medical establishment keeps lowering the “high cholesterol” threshold, conveniently redefining healthy levels from decades ago to funnel more people onto statins. It’s almost comical how the goal post shift, but the profits tell the real story.  Big Pharma rakes in billions while we’re all told to fear our own biology.

Statins are handed out like candy to counteract this essential ingredient despite their laundry list of side effects such as muscle pain, liver damage, and a curious correlation with rising dementia rates. Why? Because slashing cholesterol levels starves the brain of what it needs to thrive.

The irony is that while they scare us about heart disease, the real culprit isn’t cholesterol. It’s inflammation from sugar-laden diets clogging our arteries. Cholesterol isn’t the villain. It’s the repair crew patching up damage caused by a lifetime of processed carbs and seed oils.

Enter keto and carnivore diets, which flip the script. These low-carb, high-fat ways of eating reduce inflammation, letting cholesterol do its job without gumming up the works. Studies and real-world results show they can balance lipid profiles better than any pill. Don’t expect Big Pharma to cheer for steak and eggs as it’s hard to patent a ribeye. So, the next time you’re told your cholesterol is “too high,” ask yourself: who’s really profiting from this lie and why are they so desperate to keep us medicated? Fixing your diet may be what you really need.

Much Love,
Lynn

  1. Just got my best cholesterol results on ketovore compared to eating no meat and lots of plant based carbs while doing a liver cleanse! I wouldn't advise any cholesterol test while doing extended fasting because the lack of food will liberate fat from storage into the blood stream to be used as energy. After the fast things will normalize and I usually feel much better as long as carbs are limited.

    1. I do keto as well. It does help with lots of things. My focus is reducing inflammation in the body.
