Oregano isn’t just a tasty herb for your pasta. It’s a natural powerhouse with a range of uses backed by its antimicrobial properties! Watch out because Big Pharma would love to keep this hidden. Luckily there are people like me out there testing natural remedies, and with over 800 studies, oregano oil has shown to be a top natural antibiotic. Here are six practical ways to use it for maximum benefit.
- Boost Immunity: Mix 1-2 drops of oregano oil with a teaspoon of coconut oil and take it daily. This supports your immune system and perfect for warding off colds.
- Soothe Skin Irritations: For minor cuts or bug bites, dilute 1 drop of oregano oil with a carrier oil (like olive oil) and apply gently. Its antiseptic qualities help heal naturally.
- Freshen Your Breath: Add a drop of oregano oil to a glass of water for a natural mouth rinse. Swish for 30 seconds, but don’t swallow!
- Relieve Congestion: Inhale steam with 1-2 drops of oregano oil added to hot water. Cover your head with a towel and breathe deeply for 5-10 minutes to clear those sinuses.
- Natural Cleaning: Mix 10 drops of oregano oil with water and vinegar in a spray bottle for a DIY disinfectant. Use it on surfaces to keep your home germ-free.
- Fight Infections Naturally: For a natural antibiotic boost, mix 1-2 drops of oregano oil with a teaspoon of honey and take it once daily during illness.
Much Love, Lynn

I avoid colds by taking a drop or two of straight oil of oregano when I feel an inkling of it coming on. Burns like HELL, but the end result is worth it. If I can't get any on time due to location, it also alleviates the symptoms if I did catch that cold. It's like, nothing I can do when I'm at work and I get that smidgeon of a sore throat, so. . .
ReplyDeleteYou can dilute it some, but it does have some heat!
