I'm not sure who needs to hear this, but I was compelled to write this:
Many people turn to artificial means like random hookups or sex, hoping to fill an emotional void, but these often leave people feeling emptier and more disconnected. Drugs and alcohol might offer temporary escape, yet they deepen the sense of despair and health issues over time. Avoidance keeps problems buried, while overbooking yourself or filling your day with distractions prevents true self-reflection and peace. Social media, with its endless scroll, fosters comparison and loneliness. Remember, comparison is the thief of joy.
Instead of chasing these false comforts, consider finding a hobby that brings joy or discovering something you genuinely like to do. Get outside, breathe fresh air, and let nature rejuvenate you. Pair that with eating healthy to nourish your body and mind. Engage in positive actions like exercise or prayer, and recognize that the devil works through these distractions to keep you trapped. By focusing on self-care and spiritual growth, you can break free and build a life of true fulfillment.
Much Love, Lynn
