DeleteThe only "occult" practice you've ever engaged in as far as I know is psychic readings and perhaps healing. But in what sense are you more "free" now than before? (As implied by the choice of words to "break free"). No one forced you to engage in those things. Also, how do you justify quitting such practices based on a Christian perspective? Why did God bestow man with clairvoyance if he didn't intend for him to use it?
ReplyDeleteI dabbled in a lot over the years to see if I had the skills or how different aspects such as remote viewing, mediumship, psychic readings, automatic writing, reading tea leaves, crystals, etc. I felt like I looked at these things as innocent, but then realized like most aspects of life good and bad are our words and really we justify what we do based on what we think to be true versus what is true. I was in a sense lured in under the intent of these things being innocent, but then had a epiphany moment that made me realize that good and bad are just a perspective. I do think that there are some gifts from God, and that is what I wrestling with.
