The Bone That Grew Back – The Genius in Adam’s Rib

Crazy fun fact of the day!  I was today years old when I learned this.

Did you know your ribs are living spare parts? Surgeons routinely harvest a section of rib for bone grafts including rebuilding jaws, spines, or shattered limbs.  Why?  Because the rib is the ultimate regenerator. If you leave the the rib's protective sheath intact, within months up to 8 cm of sturdy new bone grows back and is stronger than any synthetic substitute. No other bone combines such plentiful supply, strength, and reliable self-repair. 

Genesis 2:21-22 (KJV) states: “And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.”
It then made sense. God didn’t choose a femur or skull fragment.  He intentionally selected the one bone that could regenerate without leaving Adam diminished.
Every rib graft performed today silently preaches the same truth.  Our Creator built renewal into our very frame. Adam awoke whole.  Eve was formed complete, and medicine still marvels at the rib that keeps giving.  Proof that the first surgery was also the first perfect blueprint.
