The math isn't mathing, and the more they try to debunk this, the more I think there is truth to one of the biggest dupes on the American people. Every single day McDonald's supposedly churns through around 78 million pounds of beef. That kind of volume would demand the slaughter of well over 150,000 cows daily non-stop, year after year, without the system ever slowing under shortages, price spikes, or visible supply chain issues.
Just think about it. One average cow yields roughly 450–500 pounds of usable retail beef after processing. To hit even a fraction of that national daily demand, the kill lines would need to run at industrial speeds. This is logically impossible. If it were true, we'd have to see constant headlines about cattle shortages or skyrocketing meat prices.
So where is all this "beef" really coming from? The official story is that it's from massive feedlots, efficient processing plants and imports from Canada and Mexico. McDonald's has long been one of the biggest single buyers of beef on the planet, yet they represent only very small amount of around 1.5–2% of total U.S. consumption. 2% is still a huge amount, and yet they never seems to feel the pinch when broader beef markets fluctuate.
Many also agree that for years the patties aren't what they used to be. The texture, the taste and the way they cook feels off. We all know they use processed fillers and soy extenders, but what other "lab-grown mystery meat" or "bio-engineered" ingredients that are being slipped into the supply chain? Or is it something even darker? [When is the last time you saw a new cemetery open? Where are people being buried? I've touched on this before.]
The corporation most definitely has the reach, money, and connections to keep their illusion alive should they decide to partake in something more nefarious. They've invested heavily in "sustainable" sourcing narratives, but those stories always seem to dodge the hard numbers.
Maybe it's time to ask the real question: If the math doesn't math, and the cows aren't there in the numbers they should be, what are we biting into? Something behind the counter isn't adding up.
