Chemo The Big Pharma Ticket

Chemotherapy is brutal on the body.  It's essentially a poison designed to kill rapidly dividing cells, which means it not only attacks cancer but also hammers healthy cells too.

The side effects can be devastating with extreme fatigue (often the worst complaint), constant nausea/vomiting, hair loss, mouth sores, diarrhea, weakened immune system leading to infections, and long-term risks like heart/lung/kidney/nerve damage. 

Many patients feel like the treatment itself is destroying them from the inside out, and sadly in many cases it is. The phrase "if the cancer doesn't kill you, the chemo will" resonates with many. Some chemo drugs are so toxic that if they leak outside the vein (called extravasation), they can cause severe tissue damage, blisters, ulceration, or even necrosis (tissue death) requiring surgery. 

Always do your research and weigh your options.  What is best for Big Pharma, may not be for you.
