Predictive Programming is REAL

Predictive programming is when media subtly introduce ideas and events years in advance. This conditions the public to accept future realities as normal rather than shocking when they unfold. Whether deliberate or not, The Simpsons has become the poster child for this.  Its writers seem to have a crystal ball and know how to slow-dose storylines that become headlines.

A 2000 episode referenced President Trump causing a budget crisis (long before his political rise). Other “hits” include the Disney-Fox merger, smartwatches, video calls, voting glitches and various scandals. Fans joke that someone keeps leaking the political script as the series exaggerates current trends into absurd futures that keep coming true.

Here is what I want to know, what’s next? Recent and future episodes center around AI chaos and worker revolts, new health scares, global conflicts and political families.  What do you think will be next?  There is definitely something to this!

Much Love, Lynn
