Sneaky Habits That Could Be Harming Your Health

We all have little habits we barely notice, but some of them might be doing more harm than we think.  They can be like a sneaky saboteur in our daily routine. Take something as simple as holding off on a bathroom break.  It may feel harmless, but over time it can put you at risk for kidney infections that are no joke. Or how about the way we breathe? If you’re taking shallow breaths all day you’re not getting enough oxygen which can leave you unfocused and foggy.  These small choices add up, and they’re worth a second look before they turn into bigger problems.

Then there’s the stuff we do without thinking, like sitting for hours on end or constantly crack our fingers. Prolonged sitting increases the risk of blood clots, especially if you’re glued to your desk or couch for too long. Even the way we sleep matters because lying on your stomach might feel cozy, but it can strain your spine and lead to chronic pain down the road.

So let’s take a minute to look at our own habits. Think about what you do that may be working against you, and make some effort to tweak it. Your body deserves the win, even if it means skipping the hot sauce every now and then.

Much Love,
Lynn

  1. Appropriate Number 1 deals with Number 1, and the urge to go a night must be answered no matter how much you might want to hold it in.
