The ORIGINAL Medicine

It’s unfortunate that advice on cleansing with natural foods like ginger or turmeric rarely reaches us, largely because Big Pharma prioritizes profit over preventive health tips. Most doctors are shaped by an education system heavily influenced by pharmaceutical interests and are trained to prescribe medications rather than guide patients toward simple solutions like eating nutrient-rich foods or enjoying ten minutes of sunlight. This focus during medical training often overlooks holistic approaches, leaving many to seek out these natural benefits on their own. 

Here are a few suggestions you may try.  Many people now refer to this as "alternative medicine," but back in the day this WAS your medicine, not alternative.

  1. I haven't used Oregano for years, but this may motivate me to include it and even add a little cinnamon to my coffee. All the other foods, herbs spices I us and love. Thanks Lynn!

  2. Oil of oregano is a full spectrum antibiotic. It kills EVERYTHING, including the good stuff. Important to take a strong probiotic 3 hours later to repopulate the good bacteria in your gut. If you are super early in taking it, you can stop a cold or the flu in its tracks. Most people find it too strong so you can use gel caps (though you may have some oregano burps later). I don't mind it, but one way to make it palatable is to use it in a Greek Salad where typically oregano is used. I just add a few drops to my Greek salad dressing/vinegarette and add to the salad.

    1. Yes, oregano is great! If you prepare the veggie caps ahead of time put them in the fridge so the cap doesn't dissolve.
