Dandelion Season is Among Us

I'm a firm believer that everything you need to heal yourself is already in your environment, specifically in the plants, herbs and "weeds" growing right around you. Nature provides abundant remedies if we know where to look, encouraging us to reconnect with the earth instead of always turning to synthetic solutions first.

Dandelions aren't just weeds, they're nutritional powerhouses.  The greens are packed with vitamins A, C, K, iron, calcium and potassium. Dandelion tea from leaves or roasted roots offer tons of benefits like supporting liver health, natural detox and serving as a gentle diuretic to help with fluid balance and blood pressure.  Dandelion tea also provides antioxidants that reduces inflammation.

Simply steep fresh clean leaves or roasted roots in hot water.  Its earthy, slightly bitter and caffeine free. Harvest from unsprayed areas or buy dried that is organic. Natures free superfood is right in your backyard. We've been trained to kill weeds and manicure yards (by the corporate machine), but I say embrace it!

Much Love, Lynn
