The real realization is seeing how our perception of reality is shaped. Media, politics, and entertainment don’t just inform us, they condition us. Everything in our environment has come together to create the greatest social experiment where entire populations are steered, and emotionally manipulated through messaging and repetition. We like to think we’re independent thinkers, but in reality we simply reflections of the narratives we consume every day.
Algorithms track what we watch and what we react to so we stay constantly engaged and enraged. Even the political reality show is more obvious. When Trump says someone looks like they came “straight out of central casting,” he’s referencing something real and isn't lying. Central Casting is an actual company in Hollywood that supplies background actors for films and television. Their job is to find people who visually reads as a cop, a judge, a soldier, a protester to sell the story.
We are consumers first, citizens second. We are viewed as cattle in a system for our money, attention, labor and even to fight their wars. To make it more blatant, when we proudly wear brand names we are marketed to buy, we’re doing what ranchers have done to cattle for centuries. We’re marking ourselves (branding) with the symbols of the systems that profit from us.
We have to live in this world, but we don't have to be used as a product. One small act of resistance is refusing the branding and turning off the media that is stoking constant emotional responses. The moment you stop feeding the spell, it starts to lose its power.

Long time no see, Lynn! Btw I agree 100% with your view on this! The identitiy of our divine soul is beyond all physical labels and brands. When you use brands as a way to express your identity it becomes a problem because it reduces you from a divine and uniquely created being to just a cog in the machinery.
ReplyDeleteIt has been a long time! It's great to see you on here!
DeleteI also want to share with you this youtube channel. It's a forensic expert and psychologist who has spent alot of time combing through the Epstein files, and found some truly remarkable and suspicious things that may point to a cover up.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting...
DeleteSo how is nature doing over there after the toxic onslaught following that train crash a few years back? Has it started to recuperate?
ReplyDeleteI'm a bit south of there, so I'm not sure. I haven't heard anything or seen anything come up on it lately. That was def horrible!
DeleteAnd how are the amish who lived in that area doing nowadays?
ReplyDeleteI'm not too sure. That was such a horrible thing for the people there!
DeleteI live a minimalist life. I'm a horrible consumer with very few obligations. It helps having a strong Cathar slant. That also includes not using the medical establishment that does more harm than good. (It's good to live with a witch doctor. The holistic way rocks.)
ReplyDeleteSounds like you got it figured out! I always say that we have to life here, but don't have to allow ourselves to get sucked into it. Congrats! You will be much more at peace.
